Third meet

Well this last meet was a little bit of a drive but well worth it. Each meet the Princess is improving more and more. This meet she was able to do her back kick over and did very well on the bars her second weakest area besides the beam (which is taller than she is). She was very excited that her grandparents from Utah and here were able to come and watch her compete. It's great to see how much she improves each time. Her last meet will be in Aurora unless she makes regionals. Let me know if you would like to come and I will give you times, dates and directions.

Dance, Dance, Dance

This year the Napster decided she would like to try dance again. I have to say that I was impressed with the terminology that she learned from her teacher. She took a pre-ballet class that lasted six weeks culminating in a great recital at the end. She did a very good job. The girls were so cute in their pink tutu's. At the end Grandma gave her some flowers which she was very reluctant to take.

Let's Play Ball

The Dude started baseball after the last major snow storm melted in late April. This is his first year playing minor league where the players pitch the whole game. He is very lucky to have good coaches and a good team. They managed to get in all but one game that was rained out (thank goodness as it was 45 min away). The team only lost three games one in which the game went until almost nine on a school night. The kids were extremely tired the next day as they had to be up by 6:30 and school is from 7:30 to 3:30. He has played outfield left and right, pitcher, catcher, first, second and third base and short stop. The dude had a great time hanging out with friends and playing ball. At the last game there was a barbeque for both of the teams in town where they all received a trophy.

Rainbows

Since everyone else were posting pics of their rainbows,we thought we would a few of ours. So here they are.

Colorado Wildlife

Well here it is the long awaited promise of the wildlife we have seen in our yard. So far there have been foxes, birds, moose (meese, mooses? ) and chipmunks. At my Dad's they also have elk and deer. There are also beaver's in the creek behind our house they are just too fast for pictures. We are supposed to have these too we just haven't seen them yet. There are also supposed to be Mountain Lions behind our house. On the way down to my Dad's we have also seen bighorn sheep.

Princess's Second Meet

Princess had her second meet on Saturday. She has improved alot in the last two weeks. We are so proud of how well she did. She had a lot of fun at this meet.

The Princess placed 4th out of six places on the Vault in which she received a score of 6.6 out of ten. She really improved on this and did a great job overall.
Her next meet is in Elizabeth and her last is in Aurora. Let me know if you want to come and need directions and times for either one.

The Dude's Informance

On Thursday, the Dude had his first informance. For this he played the recorder. They have a book they have worked through called recorder Karate. We were very proud of him. He didn't start playing until January and he passed up some of the other third graders. He did a great job. They played some great songs. He really has an ear for music. The Dude can listen to something and play it on his violin, the piano and the recorder. Next year they will continue the recorder and also do the keyboard. One of the kids played the theme song from Harry Potter on the piano. Hopefully The Dude will learn something like that also.
