Cute Stuff's Discovery

We came back from my Dad's last week and found that it had rain. Cute stuff has one shoe on because the kids had taken one off. She saw some water and decided to tromp through it. she liked it so much she went from puddle to puddle and even sat in them. By the time she was down she was covered in dirt and water. Needless to say she had to have a shower. Now whenever we go out after it rains she heads straight for the puddles. We had to pick up one of the kids with muddy feet as we were running late as usual.

Hawk Exhibit

The Doctor's brother is very interested in Falconry so when the Doctor's intern said that there was an exhibit at the art fair we had to go. The Doctor's brother wasn't expecting live birds but that was what was there. There was a barn owl, a smaller bird and a bald eagle. Their stories were all very sad. The birds are part of a rescue project and can never be released in the wild as they would die of starvation. The Eagle was found with her wing impaled on a tree in Alaska and can no longer fully use one of her wings. It was a great exhibit. They were taking pictures with the Eagle for only $10 with as many as six people. The kids were so excited to have their picture taken with the Eagle.

Water World

The Doctor was able to get discount ticket's for both Elitches and Waterworld from work so we took the kids to both. Last Saturday was when we went to Waterworld we brought the Doctor's intern with us and met up with his family from Kansas there. It was great. Cute stuff and the girls played in the smaller of the two wave pools while we took turns riding the bigger slides. There were lots of rides for the kids including one that we all got to ride together even Cute Stuff. We were there almost 7 hours and still didn't get through half the park it is huge. It was a great day to go. It was not too hot or too many people there. The Dude went down this huge slide twice and loved it. Next time he wants to go down the large one that goes straight down. The Napster went into the large wave pool with her sister and went too far out so the Doctor had to go save her which was very scary but she recovered from the scare quickly and was sad to have to leave. We can't wait to take the kids again next year. It was so much fun for all of us even with a baby.

Dude's Haircut

A few weeks ago the Doctor's brother said that he wanted to try cutting his own hair. Since the Dude was in desperate need of a haircut again I told him he could use the Dude to experiment with. The dude's hair grows fast it wouldn't matter if he messed up. I was very impressed he did a great job on the Dude's hair and really good on his own.

Elitches

On the 18th we took the kids to Elitches with my Dad, his wife, my uncle, my cousin and the Doctors brother. Elitches used to be a six flags a few years back. It also has a water park attached to it. There were a lot of rides. The princess went on her first real roller coaster ride and the Dude took his Grandpa on a ride that looked like a skateboard. While we were riding a large roller coaster the kids Grandma (my Dad's wife) took the girls on all the little kid rides. In which Cute Stuff enjoyed most of them. We rode a water ride and were soaked. After lunch A bunch of the grup raced to fill up the water tank in a game which the Doctor barely one. The guy in charge of the game was great he let everyone play for only fifteen dollars instead of five dollars each. went to the water park where everyone rode a few slides. The Dude and my Dad rode a few of the bigger slides together while we took the girls on the lazy river. Cute stuff has been dying to get into a pool all summer so she loved this and the kid play water park. We had a great time with everyone and can't wait to go again. It was a fun family day.

Kids new toy

A month ago I was finally able to convince the doctor that the kids needed something to entertain them outside. He didn't want to have to move anything and wanted the kids to be safe. SO we agreed to get a trampoline so that the Princess can work on her gymnastics and the others can just have fun. The trampoline had to be extremely safe for him to agree. The one that we bought is really neat it came with a safety net and there aren't any springs which is really cool. It has these fiberglass rods that allow for the spring action and keeps the kids from hitting any kind of metal. Everyone couldn't wait to try it out so they stayed up late while the Doctor and his intern finished putting it together. The kids all really enjoy having it and spend a lot of time on it. They even agreed to shovel the snow off of it in the winter. Cute stuff learned very quickly that she could bounce on it. Even the doctor has fun bouncing the kids.

The Dude's First live performance

The dude had his first live performance back on the 16th at Hideaway park. His teacher is part of a band that was performing there and asked if the Dude would like to perform. He played Minuet from Suzuki book two. This was a very long song. He played in front of a few hundred people who came for the blues concert. I along with others were very impressed with how well he did. The other performers played guitar and they were very impressive as well. The Doctor joined us after work and we enjoyed listening to the music while the kids played. Once again I can't upload the video. Our internet isn't all that great sorry.
