Finally

Well it has been a long while since we last posted and I have finally found some time. The kids got out of school the end of the second week in June. Since then we have been finishing up baseball, dance, gymnastics competitions and starting up things such as swim team, skateboarding, reagular swim and more gymnastics. Everyday we have at least two things going except friday, where all we have is swim team. The dude and princess had a swim meet the day after the princesses final gym meet and then followed by a piano audtition for the princess. We have also had lots of company visiting (which is a lot of fun). Hopefully I can catch up with everything sometime soon. Anyhow this is going to be a very long post just to get everything in.

Lets start with the final meet

Although she didn't make regions she improved greatly on all but the floor (she was very nervous and goofed here) Her vault was a 7.2 (she barely missed qualifying), her bars were a 5.8, her beam was a 5.4 and her floor was a 5.7. We are very proud of her. She is the youngest on her team and one of the youngest in the comp. She did very well this year.

Next on to swim. We don't have pics yet because we used my Dad's wife's camera. It was very crowded and hot. We very thankful to my Dad's wife who watched the two youngest for five hours. It would have been impossible otherwise. They both did very will the princess placed second in freestyle for her age group, 6th in back stroke, and fifth in the 100 free relay. Her favorite stroke is the backstroke. The dude also did very well improving alot from his first backstroke to his second. His favorite stroke is the breastsroke. For both of his relays his team placed fourth, for backstroke he placed sixth, for breaststroke he placed second and for freestyle he placed fifth. We are very proud of them they did an excellent job.
Now for the piano audition with the national piano guild which was the day after the swim meet and two days after her last gym comp. The princess went to her audition and was very nervous as this was her first. She did a great job. They play before a judge who has their music in front of them and the players play from memory. She played 5 songs and a set of scales. She received 15 commendable's and two needs attention. Her teacher was very impressed with her scores and audtion. She mainly needs to work on counting which we already new. She was able to play the correct intonations and sounds. We were also very impressed. Right after she had swim practice so I didn't have time for pics. But I will take pics this friday at her recital.
Okay coming up in the next two weeks. We have a swim meet on friday as well as the piano recital. On Saturday the Doctor and his brother plan to go whitewater rafting with my family. Next thursday the dude is playing his violing at a blues festival (or at least I think it is blues) and then Saturday we plan to spend the day at Elitches ( an amusement park that used to be six flags, it also has a water park attached). On top of all of this the kids have swim, skateboarding and gymnastic practices and the Doctor and his brother all have work, work, work and more work.
Oh yeah the Dude's baseball blog is posted a few blogs ago as I wrote it before I had Pics. Hope everyone has a great and busy summer:)
