A couple of weeks ago the doctor, his brother and his intern went rafting with my dad's wife, her two friends and my sister. While they did this, the princess went to
regionals with her team where she was their mascot ( a penguin) and the rest of us walked around Idaho Springs. It is a cute little mining town. There is a lot of history in this town. They had an old train that you could get on. There is also a waterfall that freezes solid in the winter with a
waterwheel. We went to a small museum which had all kinds of mining artifacts old mining records, an old cash register and many other things. Cute stuff had her first ice cream cone, birthday cake, which she thouroughly enjoyed. After the rafters were done we picked them up and the princess and had lunch at Tommy
Knockers. They have awesome rootbeer and cream sodas. It was a great day the guys had a blast rafting. A good portion of the trip contained class four rapids which was very
exciting for them. At the end it started raining but it was a great day.
